Why have UsableSchools adopted Google Mail (Gmail) for email?
We evaluated many different mail clients with three things in mind - power, value, ease of use. Several fitted one or two of our requirements but only Google Mail fitted all three - which is why we have adopted its web based solution as being our primary email system.
Are UsableSchools products accessible?
UsableContent frequently consults and provide both reports and training on accessibility for small businesses, and we are confident that our produce allows you to create accessible content. With all the users a business can have its easy for some inaccessible content to be on web pages. We also promote the use of multimedia - which we believe increases accessibility. We welcome any feedback on this subject from anyone who experiences difficulty using any aspect of our product.
What sort of training is included?
We don't believe that our products should need even a manual or even a days training - so the training we provide is centered around developing website content and managing them for the future. The training sessions consist of a day and are aimed at all levels.
In the future we plan to run special day sessions for older pupils - allowing them to help the school create and maintain the schools website.
